Family of David Michael Krankowski

A 2007 graduate of Calvert High School, David Michael Krankowski continued his education in the College of Southern Maryland’s (CSM) Engineering program. Prior to graduation from CSM, he looked forward to transferring to the University of Maryland Engineering School studying Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. David lived and breathed engineering, especially automobile engines. Equally important was his love of agriculture. He planned to combine his passions by developing ecofriendly, alternative fuels from sustainable sources.

Integrity was very important to David, a trait instilled during his 16 years with the Boy Scouts of America. An avid hiker, skier, and bicyclist, he enjoyed scouting even more as he trained to be an adult leader.

Working at a local vineyard from the age of 16, he learned the chemistry involved in making quality wines. Another local farmer hired him at the same age to manage various tasks on his farm. David loved being outdoors planting and even rounding up the livestock occasionally.
