The Cox Family
Born in Marbury, Annie Marguerite Warder Cox lived all of her 72 years in Charles County, Maryland, where she attended elementary through high school. She was a devoted mother who worked as a waitress to provide for her family. She took great joy in attending four of her six children’s college graduations. In her memory, Donald and Linda Cox, both CSM alumni and CSM Foundation board members, established this family memorial scholarship to support full- and part time CSM students from Charles, St. Mary’s, or Calvert counties. Friends and family have faithfully designated their annual contributions to the Cox Family Memorial Scholarship, which continues to honor Marguerite, and now, her sons, Donald and John Cox, and her daughter, Marilyn Cox Hancock.

In her memory, Donald and Linda Cox, both CSM alumni and CSM Foundation board members, established this family memorial scholarship to support full- and part time CSM students from Charles, St. Mary’s, or Calvert counties. The scholarship will be used to provide financial assistance for tuition, fees, books and other related supplies for both credit and non-credit CSM students.
