The Western Charles County Community Association, Inc.

The Western Charles County Community Association, Inc. (WCCCA) partnered with the College of Southern Maryland (CSM) Foundation in 2012 to establish scholarships for students enrolled in Workforce Development Continuing Education (CAREER STARTERS) training courses. This award provides financial assistance for tuition, fees, books, and other related supplies to CSM continuing education students who are Charles County residents, with a preference given to Western Charles County residents. WCCCA is an all-volunteer public service community association that assists Charles County residents, who live in dire poverty, with their basic needs. Additionally, WCCCA seeks to alleviate the causes of poverty in a number of ways, including promoting educational opportunities for county youth who are growing up in poverty.
