Tri-County Maryland Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority
The Tri-County Maryland Alumnae Chapter (TCMDAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. partnered with the College of Southern Maryland (CSM) Foundation in 2011 to establish the Tri-County Maryland Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Scholarship. This award provides financial assistance for tuition, fees and books to CSM students who are Southern Maryland residents and demonstrate commitment to their community or extracurricular service. In addition to their scholarship, TCMDAC and its members volunteer their time at CSM in support of student services.
Impact
TCMDAC , which was chartered in St. Mary’s County in March 2007, is a public service organization that seeks to assist the residents of Calvert, Charles and St. Mary’s Counties in accessing existing resources and programs, as well as launch new initiatives in areas of need that are currently unaddressed in the region. TCMDAC is also committed to expanding its partnerships with other organizations and agencies in Southern Maryland to work for the good of the region’s citizens.
