Impact
The scholarship was established in memory of Julia B. Wills, the Wills Group’s first female CEO. Julia was a strong, elegant, and straight-talking woman who stepped up when tough times demanded it. On her remarkable journey, she became head of the Wills Group in 1957 as one of the first female CEOs in the state of Maryland, throwing open a door for more opportunities for other women. The Women of Wills employee resource group hopes to continue her legacy by providing financial aid to students in need that align with the group’s mission.
