GEER Scholarship - Continuing Education

The Governor’s Emergency Education Relief (GEER) Fund is a federal grant for governors to support and assist local education agencies, higher education institutions, and other educational entities with emergency assistance due to COVID-19, and is part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The GEER scholarship for continuing education students is meant to assist students who have been financially impacted by COVID-19, specifically those that are unemployed, under employed and /or changing careers due to the impact of the pandemic. Based upon need and the availability of other funding support CSM will award full and/or partial scholarship to those individuals seeking non-credit training in programs leading to an industry recognized credential or license.
