John Lancaster & W. Cecil Short Charity Foundation, Inc. Endowed Scholarship

The John Lancaster & W Cecil Short Charity Foundation, Inc. Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a student in the Tri-County area, possessing a minimum 2.5 GPA who demonstrates financial need. Applicants must major in Political Science, Teacher Education or a STEM program. Applicants must submit one letter of recommendation from a current instructor or leader in the community. Applicants must demonstrate community or extracurricular involvement by submitting an essay explaining their community and/or public service involvement. Preference will be given to students who are underrepresented in their field of study and who have participated in the Purple Boot Mentoring Program.
